Valentines day is in two days, so you know what that means? FESTIVE LOVE FOOD! There’s no lovelier holiday than the holiday of love. Valentines day is all about spending time with the ones you love. Oh and it’s about eating; lots and lots of eating.
Whether you are single or taken this valentines day, you are going to want something special to have, ranging from something pink to something chocolatey. The first tasty treat i have lined up for you guys is a triple layer smoothie, perfect for this holiday.
Pre: Cut up strawberries, bananas, and raspberries and freeze them for a minimum of 4-5 hours prior to making your smoothie.
1. Lets begin with the first layer – Vanilla Peanut Butter.
All you need to do for this layer is add 1 cut up frozen banana, 1 tbsp. of peanut butter, and 1 tsp. of vanilla extract and 1/4 cup of almond milk. Blend until it’s thick and creamy. Pour it in a jar and place it in the freezer until you’re finished all your layers.
2. Layer 2: Strawberry
All you’ll need is 2 strawberries, and 1 frozen banana and 1/4 almond milk, because you want this layer to be lighter pink than the top one. Stick them in your blender and repeat the process as the first layer.
3. Final Layer – Pink Raspberry
In your blender, add 1 frozen banana. 5 strawberries, 5 raspberries, and 1/4 cups of almond milk.
Take all the layers out in front of you. First pour in your peanut butter layer, then your light strawberry layer, and finally, your pink raspberry layer. This smoothie tastes just as good as it looked, and it’s perfect to make for you and your love one to enjoy in the afternoon together. Have a good valentines day everyone!
