Good afternoon everyone! Today I am happily sharing my brand new cook book: Rawlicious at Home, by Angus Crawford and Chelsea Clark.
Laura from Random House sent me this book a few weeks back and I am in love. I’ve been to the Rawlicious Restaurant a few time and it’s fantastic. They promote raw vegan foods that are fuel for the body. The cook book is full of fun and creative raw recipes that are easy and delicious.
The book explains that not all raw foods have to be boring. They have a huge variety of recipes ranging from breakfasts, lunches and dinners, to desserts. At the back of the book, they also include things like sauces, dips, and dressings to make, and my favourite was the cashew sour cream which can be used on the raw vegan tacos.
The recipes are pretty simple to make and require minimal ingredients and supplies. People think that raw foods mean fruits and vegetables, but there is so much more you can make. There are cakes, brownies, tacos, burgers, pad thai, ice-creams, crepes, etc. The possibilities are truly endless and the outcomes are amazing and delicious.
The cook book demontrates the benefits of a healthy lifestyle while still being able to enjoy your favourite foods. Who says you need McDonalds to have fast food? Throw something in your dehydrator and grab it to go when it’s ready. Healthy food can be fun and easy. You just have to give it a try. And I highly recommend doing so with this cook book. You can have fun, experiment, and get the chance to enjoy so many delicious raw foods; sometimes you’ll forget they’re raw!
