Cinnamon Chia Porridge

I absolutely adore oatmeal, but I haven’t had it in quite a while. Now that summer is officially here and the weather is getting super hot, I just haven’t really been craving my regular bowl of oats. Instead, I start my day off with a big green smoothie, and usually have a huge plate of fruit for lunch. I accidentally (meaning didn’t do this on purpose) started following the ‘Raw till 4’ diet, which means I eat raw foods all day, and then for dinner I have a cooked meal. And sometimes I don’t always have a cooked meal; I love having salad and veggies for dinner. I like to have 2/3 if not 3/3 meals of my day raw, so if I have a raw dinner, maybe I have a cooked lunch, like oatmeal per say. So, the other day I was craving oatmeal, and decided to make this beauty:

Ingredients
  1. 3/4 cup gluten free oats
  2. 1 tsp. brown sugar
  3. .5 tsp. chia seeds
  4. .5 tsp. cinnamon
  5. fresh fruits
  6. nut butter
Instructions
  1. Measure out 1 cup of water and boil on the stove.
  2. Add in 3/4 cup of oats and mix well every 30 seconds.
  3. Stir in 1 tsp. of brown sugar, .5 tsp. of chia seeds, and .5 tsp. or more of cinnamon. The chia seeds will give it a nice thick texture.
  4. Mix everything together well, and pour it into a bowl.
Notes
  1. Top it with fresh fruit and nut butter. For mine I used bananas, strawberries, kiwi, pineapple, and blueberries, with cashew butter on top.
